Dear colleagues!

It is a true pleasure to invite you to attend the 5th Nordic Conference in Nursing Research, which for the first time, is hosted in Reykjavik, Iceland. The conference will take place from October 2nd to October 4th, 2023, at the Hilton Hotel located centrally in Reykjavik.

The scientific program will include a broad range of novel and exciting topics in nursing research. We will have renowned international methodologists and expert keynote speakers throughout the conference. The presentations, workshops, symposiums, and poster presentations will interest all nurse researchers, academics, teachers, and clinicians who share a passion for methodological issues.

The main theme is “Methods and Networks for the future.” The conference showcases a variety of presentations on how to develop, strengthen and utilize research methods in nursing and healthcare. A cutting-edge topical venue will be assigned to technological advancements. Furthermore, new emphasis on qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods will be broadcasted.

In addition to the methodological and educational purpose, the conference will also provide a platform to discuss challenging topics with experts in methodology from the Nordic region. Furthermore, the conference encourages network-building, and we sincerely hope that many of you will start or resume organized collaboration in nursing research. Finally, we also provide a unique forum to encourage interaction between doctoral students.

Reykjavik is a clean and safe city with rich cultural activities and a vibrant nightlife. The visit to Iceland will also allow you to spend some time exploring the wonders of Iceland.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Chamber of Research Nurses under the Icelandic Nurses’ Association, we warmly welcome you to exciting and engaging days in Reykjavik, the city of fire and ice, in 2023.
